Cruisin' Grand April through

September 30, 2013

April 26
Cindy & I were at Cruisin' Grand, walking up Grand and waiting for a light, there was a truck stopped at the light and I could see about 3 inches of the car next to it....I told Cindy “It's a Machine” ! Then I almost got hit by a car because I was in the street trying to see it, That's how I met Doug, running over to his car as his light turned green and this goofball is weirdly jazzed about his car....but before he punched it to get away from this weirdo, I told him I also have a Machine and it was o.k.

Doug is a great guy, among his 6 or 8 cars is also a SCRambler ! The Machine is a Beautiful Original patinad paint (with a BUILT motor)
I can't wait till we can get Dave to bring out his Bittersweet and we can take pix of the 3 together, but he's a Pontiac guy and his AMC's sit in a warehouse....sad really....But 3 Machines within 15 miles of each other, Awesome !

May 3 2013
Country Gents is the Club Stu was in, so we have been invited to join them the last 5 years on their club night on Broadway. The owner of Stu's AMX made sure to bring it out, it's nice to see it....I miss my buddy.

We only had 4 cars show up, John's AMX, my Machine, Steve's SCRambler, and Doug's Machine, how often have you seen more Machines then AMX's ! I guess Stu's car negates that.

From left, John S., Doug, Steve, and Randy

52? Nash Healey, the guy was swamped with questions, I barely got to ask him about our show in May, but he was already registered for a Concourse show somewhere, Hope to see them again !

Sept 13 2013
We got together again in the last month of Cruisin' Grand, it's only April through September.
We only had 4 cars to start with, me, Doug brought his SCRambler this time, and John and Allen brought their AMX's down from the Murriette area.

This monster came down from the north somewhere, I'm sure it was over a 2 hour drive or more. I didn't get to talk to them, but I remember the car from our show in May, I think his name is Jim ?

Then Richard showed up and we were Six !
He hasn't had his cor out in awhile, nice to see them again !

Mark Fletcher moved to California recently, somewhere up north, I'm not sure if it's in San Diego county or farther north. He was at the show before us and got stuck on the street he was on, this place gets Packed, so he wasn't able to park with us, it could have been 7 !

When the evening was coming to an end and I got back to the cars, there was an early 70 Ambo wagon sitting across from us, looked nice too. I left a card but have not heard from the owner yet, Hope they do call ! Not many AMC'ers out here.
Will be back next April !
