Burger Run

Happy New Year ! Can't believe a new one has started. Damn Cold & EARLY too.
Me, Mark, Allen, Jon, Even Tom made this show. And my Chevelle Buddy Kristy too !

Last year we had 13 cars, our best showing here, but cars were down, people were sick, and it was COLD ! Like maybe 30ish....

I got here at 6:15 to get the spaces we had for 3 years, this show lets you hold spaces till 8am. Last year we were late & had to park in a bank lot that was a little secluded, but we did get to all park together.

We seemed to pull in about 15 mins apart, Me, Mark, Jon, & Allen went to get our T Shirts & registrations taken care of and Tom was there when we got back, he was a little late....well, he “was” a whole half mile away !

My Buddy from Home Depot, Kristy, was real late, so we squeezed our 5 cars into 4 spots so she could park with us, her boyfriend showed up a little later & they went on a “walkabout”.

We all checked out the cars, I ran into a lot of car buddies, and we all ended up back at our cars after noon, a guy came around and asked who Mark was, so I pointed to to El Presidente standing next to me, and the guy sez' You won a trophy ! So be there at 1pm for the presentation !

We ran over (not really) to Sonic to grab some grub, then rushed back to the presentation. All the trophies are home made, maybe 30 of them, the Orphan trophy was Very Cool, it was a Gremlin model that was in a field & all rusty, it was real looking.....but it went to someone else.
Mark's trophy was called the Bikers pick, and it was a Vespa on a granit slab....?who knows?

When we got back to the cars, I wanted to get a shot of us by the cars, so I asked Kristy to take it, while she was, another person was also, he also asked us to stand next to our cars for another pix. He said he was a Editor/photographer for Drive Magazine and he was going to try to get it into the June or July issue....COOL !

Saw this Baby on the way out, had to get a pix & leave a flier for our show. Did the same thing last year, but never heard from the owner.

Last shot of our group as the lot was emptying. Another great show, about 650 cars from what I heard, about 80 less then last year....it was COLD !

Allen & Mark were headed north on the 15, so I said stop by my place so Allen could pick up the RB4 I had for his extra engine he was building. Plus I wanted to show off my Die Cast collection.....I know, I'm shameful....but I had to share it ! My wife doesn't get it....
