PGRR Santa Maria AMC Show

5th Annual Show here, my count was 30 cars. It certainly would have been more if it wasn't for CHINA ! But we had a good time regardless, weather was Good, although Chilly at night....my sweatshirt was in my closet.... at Home.

My BBG, and I got to see my Machine, that Stan bought from me, I'm still a little sad about that, but out of that I was able to have a 401 built , get a Tremic 5 Speed, add a Tilt, Radiator, Suspension, and have some Play Money.

Jay's BBO, Jay trailered his up, we traveled together, mines a Driver. Robert's Blue 70, he just came up for a few hours, it was great to see him, it's been awhile.

Mark's "REAL" Donohue, Original Paint too, and Michael's Cool little Gremmy. These 7 Cars of our group, SoCalAMX.

Ane' was Screen Printing shirts on site, plus he did Lunch, he also did some art work for me. I'm standing in line next to Stan.

The Hot Wheels I did for the Show, this is the card artwork Ane' did for me, I made Decals for the Javelin.

They were able to share the lot with the Cougar Club, It's a Great idea to share a show with another Club, after you look at 30 cars and talk to everyone, a 4 or 5 hour show lasts a Long time, so another group of cars and people gives you more to do. I rarely sit at a show, so this was great.

The young man in the passenger seat of the Aqua Cougar has a Good head on his shoulders, the Cougar is his (i'm writing this in Nov.), He either bought this from his Dad, or they found it, I don't remember, but this would be his Senior year in High School, and he was going to work on it at School, so thanks again to China, he's bummed. We talked for some time, He'll get it done, He's a smart kid.

One more look at my old car....Do any of you collect Die Cast ? in 2018, Hot Wheels made a Forza Rebel Machine, and they got the paint job idea from my car ! There were a few vids on the internet of my car, plus I got a trophy at the Coronado Speedfest in San Diego in 2013 and a Cobra buddy on mine videoed me on the track (fist place in your category got you on the track) they usually gave us 2 laps around noon, this was an SCCA race track set up, "Got to Get On It"!

On the way home we stopped at a Veg stand, While my Wife was checking it out, I saw a Sweet little Daytona slowing and pulling in behind me, he got out and started walking around my car, he had a "70 AMX awhile back, he only pulled over to check out my car and talk ! It's pretty Cool talking to people who know what we have.
