Las Vegas AMC Reunion

SWEET !
We left on Thursday, Dale & Pat met us on the freeway by our house, we were meeting Robert & Mark in Victorville, but mark called & said he had car problems. We met Robert at McD's and Mark called to let us know he was on the road, maybe a half hour behind & he would catch up to us in Baker....& he DID ! We got to Henderson and everyone went they're own way to veg out. We met Robert for dinner, gambled a few bucks & called it a day.

Friday was getting a little gloomy & windy, we met up to have breakfast with Robert and Dave & Kati, they got in late Thursday. Before noon, Steve, Jeff, & Steve's old AMX showed up. Shortly after, we all went to the Mine tour 24 miles away, it got colder & started sprinkling.

Awesome old buildings, trucks, cars, & stuff everywhere, great photo ops ! They broke us up into groups for the tour.

I got some great pix of my car while there. Most of the cars went further to the lake, but my gas was low & we headed back....and it was Raining !

Saturday morning was COLD (47 when I went out at 5:30am), so I waited till 7 to go back out. Turned out to be a nice day after all. There were 60 cars here, some beauties ! AMC/Ramblers for every taste, and a few people selling parts too, I know I spent a few bucks !

But this gives you an overview of a Nice Show.

The evening brought the award ceremony, Lots of great cars got trophys, & four of them came our way. Mark, Jeff, Steve, & I came away with some pretty plaques. They had some great artwork this year. Afterwords we all went to the buffet & pig'd out....then threw away a few more coins in the casino....
and NO, Mark & I are NOT holding hands !

Sunday morning everyone had different plans, so we hooked up with Robert & Steve and our 3 cars were on the road at 6am. Rained 3/4's of the way & my wipers quit working half way home, but it wasn't too bad. Very happy to be home, it makes you appreciate your own bed after trying to sleep on a casino bed....didn't get much sleep....but slept Great at home !
