I Love this show, my 9th year here, although this is the first time I was disappointed....Lots going on in San Diego, so the traffic made me late and I had to park in the back. Checking in was a hassle because they didn't get the list of pre reg from the base, AND they only had large t shirts. Then I find out the Trans Am series cars were mostly up north, All the AMC's ! So none here. I did get first place AMC (i was the only one) which meant a lap on the track at noon, Then they were told the winners had to wait till 2:30 to get on the track. Then at 2:00 they said the races would start again at 2:30....so we left around 2pm....I doubt if anyone got on the track, most of the winners left by the time we did. The high point of this is getting to do a lap or two on the 1.7 mile race track, I've done it 8 times, and it's Awesome to let her rip....but not this year....

My buddy Doug brought his Beautiful AAR, entered in the pony car class, and got beat by a mustang, so he was going to ride along with me, so we were both disappointed. Had to add pix of the topless Cheetah !

I was parked back along the fence, behind this Awesome Vette, the red one wasn't too shabby either.

Pix of the Cars that were racing all day (all diff classes), all the cars that tour for these races are REAL ! Stuff you won't see anywhere else, except maybe a museum.

I didn't get any pix of cars on the track, I was limping all day, so it took me the whole time to walk the show and the pit area. The race times were all messed up as well....plus there were no AMC's out there....so....
