El segundo All AMC Car Show

September 10, 2016

Long drive, I was following Allen in his RWB AMX, till he spun a bearing. So I was on my own. 2 other cars were down, and 2 others had personal things to attend to, so our San Diego group was slim. But this "MACHINE" was a welcome sight at the gate to the show ! Only 16 cars, but a nice group of AMC's !

If you find a Rouge Convertible, you know there's a Fletcher around somewhere ! Specially if it's a factory 290 4sp !

Jay has a Beautiful fully loaded BBO ! This is a Show Car !

Steve's SC/Rambler always trophies ! Got a nice shot of the last 3 cars in HDR....wish my hands were steady enough to do this all the time....maybe I just need a drink.

Nice to see Caley out and about ! Once or twice a year isn't enough. His Dad bought this 68 brand new !

Stan the Marlin Man made the trip in this 401, it's kinda weird when he shows up in anything but a Marlin.

It's nice to see some Javelins ! Specially this nice, there were 4 here ! That's Awesome, where did they all go ?

Jerry's 1968 343 he bought BRAND NEW ! and Still the Proud Owner !

Jim's Shadow Mask Beauty, I wish I had all the stuff these guys have, like tilt & Air, would make life a lot easier.

Nacho's 1968 343 Rebel, he put a lot of love into rebuilding this Reb, but it sounds like he's ready to go AMX !

Sheila has a Beautiful 1970 Javelin with a 401 police engine ! and she got BEST OF SHOW ! NICE !

And Sheilas other half, Dennis, had to take a smaller trophy home. Also a police 401, and a lot of mods. Pretty awesome car, I know there are a lot of hard core AMC'ers out there that would have problems with this, BUT NOT ME ! Very Cool !

My Baby. BBG 360 4sp....not the original color, and it was an auto, but this is what I bought, and I personally think it was an upgrade ! I will eventually upgrade a little more with a 390 & tilt & AIR !....eventually....

And 3 other cars, the Classic I didn't get any info on, I was trying to talk to everyone, and see the cars inside, and kept getting side tracked. The Ambo didn't register, and the Javelin belongs to Josh, they were late arrivals, Josh and his son are from my area, he's in the service, a good guy, glad he made it !

This 1971 Javelin/AMX was rebuilt by Allen, Rick Fehn bugged Allen for some some time trying to buy it. Allen finally gave in because he needed money to finish his 68 RWB. Rick Loved this car, but I'm sorry to say he passed away May 9th. The car was/is here, in the Museum, he donated it to the Museum....It was my chance to say goodby to a good guy.

There were a few other AMC Family cars to keep the 71 company, a Nash & and a Metropolitan !

And a few pix of some of the Museum cars.

A lot of my pix did not come out.

That's what happens when your camera is smarter then you are...

Took a pix from the end of the field, and of the winners with Sheila proudly holding "Best of Show" !
