Coronado Speed Fest

Sunday I met up with Dale in his new Jav Donohue, his brother brought his other Jav, Steve & SCRambler, Richard finally made a show in his AMX, Allen brought his Gorgeous Red White & Blue AMX, & my Machine. We met at the Park just over the bridge on Coronado Island, I was the last one there, but I was on time ! Unfortunately, my car wasn't ready to go when we were....the starter was coming apart & everyone helped out getting it back together, THEN we made our way to the Speed Fest.

Nice weather, just enough cloud cover to not make it to sweaty, some great racing going on, it was awesome walking though the pits & taking pix of some RARE cars, including a few RW&B Jav's !

The car Show was finishing at 11:30, Sunday is supposed to be 1st & 2nd place trophys in each category, of which AMC is one. As they were calling out the 1st place winners, I noticed it was ONLY 1st they were calling.....That sucked.....I knew Allen & Steve would be our 1st & 2nd, but Steve got 1st & that was it ? As I stood through the whole trophy presentation, I got a little pissed off, we go as a group on Sunday so at least 2 AMC's can get a little pat on the back for our work, & it is work to make these things stay on the road, Hell, everyone makes chevy & ford parts..So at the end of the presentation, the guy talking say's it's the first time one of these have taken Best of Show....an AMC !

Allen's RW & B AMX took Best of Show !!! WoW !!!

All was forgiven by me after that, & when you see his car, you'll know why he got it !
Our time on the track was a different story, & I don't want to get into it, I'm happy as hell Allen got Best of Show.

I couldn't find Steve for this shot, I had to leave, Stu's in the Hospital & I wanted to see him.

I went Saturday, by myself, because I wanted to take my AMX out on the track, & I did ! Got to Jump on it, twice !
