Heartbeat Happening

April 26, 2015

This was a rainy weekend ! Friday night Cruisin' Grand was rainy, we were supposed to take my Machine to John's for a front end rebuild on Saturday, but still rain, and it was still wet Sunday morning....but Allen called me at 7:45 and said he was at our meeting spot (where we had said we would meet at 8:30), so, what the hell, beats sitting at home !

This is at Bate's Nut Farm in Valley Center, and I saw this thing as we were looking for parking, couldn't park anywhere near it though, couldn't even tell what year from this angle, so we headed over after we got set up.

It's pretty cool finding AMC's that you have not seen before, and have no idea of who they belong to, it's also kind of a rare, so we took a few pix, and this guy walks up and opens the trunk, so we were on him pretty quick ! His name is Greg, and he lives in Valley Center, where this show happens to be.

He's the guy with the hat, talking to Allen, who has the 68 RW&B AMX (Who also just finished the Playmate AMX)

Seeing the tail we knew it was a 72, it also happens to be a 401 ! and other then one repaint, she is unmolested, Greg went through the motor and she was great too. He also has all her papers, stickers, pix of everything, and Machine wheels ta' boot !

Very Clean ! And A/C ! (I wish I had A/C !)

Another shot of our cars, this place has a nice park like setting in the center, but hard to get a full pix out of. Plus these pix are off my phone, dummy me left my camera at home....course I blame my camera, it should have been in my pocket....

This baby got a trophy, I'm more into the Muscle car era of our AMX's, but this one made me take notice.

This one Really got my attention ! How about 806 Horses ! I've always been fond of Anglias, but this one only lets you look at sky when you take off !

I'm impressed, but how the hell do you see what's in front of you ? I guess you just have to keep everyone in your rear view ?

This was still a good show, maybe 250 cars, and still a lot of real show cars here. The roads were still wet, sky still cloudy, I know they lost some cars, but they still pulled in some good money, the 50/50 was $1,233, not too shabby ! And “ALL” the proceeds went to one of the Oceanside Veterans groups, one that is run by Volunteers Only ! Unlike our tax dollars, this money will make a difference for someone who wore a Uniform !
