Burger Run

January 10, 2015

They were saying possible showers today, but the show still pulled over 650 cars !

We had 8 cars, not too shabby for an open show, 7 of them had hood scoops, all but 2 were 1970, and believe it or not, there were 3 Javelins to ONE AMX ! When was the last time you saw more Javelins then AMX's, Anywhere ?

I got there just after 6am, Timmy & Priscilla were already there, Jon was also there, as well as Mark. These guys were there early to help me save spaces, and by 7am, this lot was full, as well as most of the area.

This is Terry's 70, he lives in Ramona, he recently finished it, it looks Great ! I just wish he came around more ! I seem to only see him a few times a year at Cruisin' Grand, it was good to see him, and his newly painted 70 ! I think someone said it was the Best year....who was that ? …. hmmm....

This little red Rambler was parked down by the sponsor clubs area, did not see the owner, but Mark left info on it, hope they call.

Dale and I walked a little, here's the entry point, Dale was drawn the the Harleys, of course !

This shot doesn't make the show look like much, very deceiving !

Here's a small section of the cars, it winds throughout a few streets with the church lot we are in being like one corner.

Another street full of pre 72 works of art, and mans second best friend....till something breaks....

Don't get excited, this is on a Rat Rod, just the radiator clip, it certainly gives it a little class.

All the trophys are hand made, and everyone wants one, there are 3 tables of these, check out the front & center trophy, it's a rusted Studebaker, it's the Orphan trophy, and it now belongs to....

Mark and his 67 Rogue convertible w/stock 290 4spd, Sweet !

Steve is behind him with his SC/Rambler, Steve won last year, I think Mark M. won the year before, Allen before that, before that I don't remember, but Steve won with his AMX here also, and Chuck with his AMX.

Our little group does quite well !

I had to get some people pix, which I rarely do, so I got them as people left, except for Terry, who left before I knew it.

This is Doug's Original paint RW&B Machine, and it has a kikass' motor, but a tight rear end, so he doesn't go very far, good thing this is in his area. Oh, and me and my Machine.

Here are Tom with his BBO 70 Javelin (no, it's not red), and Jon with his BBG 70 Javelin, he did “NOT” put the sun roof in it, it was there when he bought it, so don't slam him !

Doug's in the background talking to Timmy & Priscilla, future AMC'ers.

Timmy's Vette, wanna' trade your Javelin for it ? He's ready !

Richard on the left, got here late, so he didn't bring his AMX, and Dale on the right with his Red Donohue Javelin behind the Vette, yes, everything points to this being a “REAL” Donohue.

Hope to see you here next Year !
