Pantera night at Cruisin' Grand

I'm a Pantera Fan, and I can't even get into one....tall is not always so great. John S. is a BIG Pany Fan, and plans on owning one some day. There were 60 or 70 Panteras here this evening, they had their National in San Diego this week, so the next day was at the Embarcadero (Seaport Village) Downtown San Diego on the Bay....One of the most Beautiful places to have a car show in SoCal.

My plan was to run with the Panteras on Thursday, they had a run planned, it was a secret, I found out where, found out it was like 40 miles, through San Diego County, at peak traffic time. So I didn't go looking for them after all, not sure they would appreciate it anyway....except for a few Pany owners that I am friends with.

So my next plan was to stop by Cruisin' Grand to check out all the Beautiful Panteras that came there, and after about an hour head to our clubs BBQ at Dave & Kati Chicks house. But my AMX had other plans, she died at the gas station, electrical problems evidently killed my battery. You will never guess where I got a jump...go ahead, try....?....o.k. I'll tell ya....a Pantera stopped at the same station a said he would give me a jump ! So I called triple A back, and cancelled my call.

Didn't make the BBQ, and had to clean up the Machine for the show in the morning. Just got the AMX back, engine bay painted, motor work done, lookin' pretty ! But she just didn't want to show herself off yet, I guess.

This weekend was our Clubs Car Show as well....of course it was....John & I were kinda bummed out that these two shows were the same day....but thats the way it goes....so we missed 100+ Panteras sitting by the water, on grass, in Beautiful weather, with Coronado bridge silhouetting the skyline off the point....yea....no big deal....it will happen again....never....

I'll get to see some of them at Coronado Speed Fest September 20st 21nd, they have 20 or so there every year, Plus a big Shelby Cobra group , and all the Race Cars !
