Midnight at the Oasis

Midnight at the Oasis, Yuma March 7-9. 2014 We had 5 cars going to this show, but we ended up with 3. John and his Beautiful 69 AMX, Dale & Carol and their 70 Javelin, and Cindy & I in our Machine, so we had a good mix of AMC's for the Yuma crowd.

We got to Yuma early enough to make the parade, they have a route that is shut down to traffic so we are the parade. Just about everyone in Yuma lines the streets, they bring out their beach chairs, drinks, BBQ's, cameras, etc., and wave to all of us as we drive by. It takes over an hour between lining up and driving the course, then dinner is ready when we get back, that's included Friday. This pix is the waiting area.

Saturday is the ALL day show, lunch is included on Saturday. These little beauties were a few rows over from us.

Jon & Gina cruise to this show with the Loners car club, and this is where we met them originally too !

The Panteras park in the same area as the Loners do, and this year most of them were from the San Diego area, there were 15 or more this year.

They have a National in San Diego this April, and they expect 100+ Panteras ! And John found the one he wants !

Dale's parents were there and he got to hang with them, Nice folks.

This awesome little Lark stood out to me, I like the oddball cars, I see the big 3 everywhere, so I look for these beauties.

I have always loved Willys. This show has concerts on Friday & Saturday nights, Dinner on Friday, Lunch on Saturday, and....

Brunch on Sunday, the last day, they have a show n shine, then we eat, then trophies and a small raffle....well, the raffle is usually a car, you have to buy the tickets, this year was a Chevelle....but dammit....i didn't win....AGAIN !

This shows cutoff is 1000 cars, and you can't get in on the day of the show, it's pre-reg only. It's $95 with parking spot, it includes 2 passes for everything ! Oh, and one T-Shirt too !

Even Batman makes it to this show !
