34th Annual AMCRC National Convention

Cindy & I were going to drive, but the cost was more then we could handle at the time, so we hitched a ride with John S., he took his motor home and said he had plenty of room.

Dale & Carol drove, they left earlier to visit family in the area, they seem to have family everywhere ! Dale's Javelin even won a trophy !

Mark also drove, that 5 speed he put in his AMX puts his rpm about half of mine....he also won a trophy ! He needed a drink, so he found this glass hat....

Allen & Steve rented a car and cruised out, I guess that was the way to go, the cheapest anyhow. But I still wish I had had my car there.

We got there Thursday evening, we wanted to go on the Rambler Ranch tour Friday afternoon. The trip was long, but what beautiful country we went through. Traveling through the Rockies, through Vail, following Gore Creek....creek, that's funny, this is a full blown river ! We need some of these in California !

The Rambler Ranch was AWESOME, it took a few hours to walk through it, there were cars inside & out, hundreds of them. I took lots of pix, a lot didn't come out, but a lot did. I have those in the PIX section of this site, there are 95 pix, wish it was double.

Saturdays show wasn't as big as I expected, but it was awesome. I counted 76 cars, give or take a few, there was even an SS/AMX there, don't see many of those. There were 2 Rebels, made me think about my Machine, wish I had taken it.

What was even more cool was the green SC/360, you Never see those, there were TWO ! One that had sat outside in a yard for who knows how long, the owner had it there for sale, needs a complete resto, but how cool would that be !

Before you knew it, it was over, and the long trek back seemed to take longer then the trip there. But we did stop along the way and check out the River, or creek as they call it, it was Awesome, rafters everywhere. The other side of the river was Mountain, with train tracks cut into it, that would be a cool train ride some day.
