We looked forward to this long run ! We had 7 cars here, in two groups, John S., Stacy & Sherry, Cindy & Randy headed out a little later. We had lunch at the Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo, neat place. We then headed up the 1 and enjoyed the Coastal route up to Monterey for a Thursday night stay.
That's where we met up with Allen, Mark, Steve, and John C., they headed out earlier on a different route. We ended up at a restaurant on the pier for dinner, except for Stacy & Sherry, we couldn't get them out of their room.

Friday morning came early, and again we ended up in two groups somehow, this is a rest stop that Mark, John S., Allen, and I stopped at and everyone that went by slowed down to check out our cars.

We got to Sacramento in time to check into the Motel, meet at the Museum and swap meet, then caravan over to a park on the River for a BBQ, where John C. and I sported SoCalAMX Show shirts. Plenty of food, Cindy and I walked along the river, and had No Problem sleeping that night.

Saturday also came a little early, had a two day drive to clean off the cars. The show field was in a parking lot under the freeway, which gave a lot of shade thru the hot day, but it was LOUD !

We have the first 5 cars in this row, John Caley 68, John Siciliano 69, Steve Fox 68, Allen Tyler 71, and Randy Kirby 70.

The other side had Mark as the second car, the Red 69, I'm afraid I didn't get a full count of AMX's, but I know there were over 20, and the show had somewhere between 103 to 113 cars from what I heard.

Stacy was parked a row over with his Beautiful Ambo Wagon.

The river runs under this freeway, and these Beautiful fish seemed to beach themselves right in the middle of the lot.

Speaking of fish, I think one of the clubs brought their Aquarium to the show !

I'm partial the the Muscle car era, but these clean little cars are cute.

Another CLEAN car, a little majestic, I could see a suit & tie driving this Beauty.

As a plus, you can see our cars in this pix too....

Also a well cared for car, it's amazing, so different from the big three's mid 50's cars, I love it !

And their we are again in the background !

This is where we met our buddy from Bakersfield, Donald and his Son built this Beautiful Gremlin, I saw it in the parking lot Saturday evening and I thought it was black, but the sun brings out an awesome dark Plum color, and it's a little 304 Screamer, sounds AWESOME too!

What can I say....I just stared at this motor for awhile....then walked away....

RW&B just never gets old. It's my favorite AMX paint....BBG second.

NICE, three of us walked away with trophy's, Stacy with a first place for that Bitchen Ambo Wagon.

Allen for his 71 Jav/AMX that he personally restored, and I got a third for my BBG.... there were certainly more deserving cars here then mine....but I'll take it.

I have to end this with a Beautiful girl laying out in the sun, what a cutey !
